Summary: You can use KIIP Prep without an account; then your progress stays only in your browser. If you choose to sign in with Google, we store your basic profile and your practice progress so it can sync between devices. The site shows ads from Google AdSense, which uses cookies; you can turn off personalised ads at any time. We do not run our own analytics and do not sell your data.

1. Using the app without signing in

The practice app runs in your browser. It stores in your browser's local storage: questions you answered wrongly and when to review them, your recent scores, which questions you have practised, and your display preferences (help language, show/hide help). Nothing is sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

2. Optional account (Sign in with Google)

If you sign in with Google, we receive from Google and store: your Google account ID, email address, name and profile picture URL. We also store your practice data (review schedule, practised questions, recent scores) so it is available on your other devices. A session cookie (kiip_sid, HttpOnly, valid up to 60 days) keeps you signed in; it is used only for this purpose.

We use this data only to provide the sync feature. You can sign out at any time, and you can delete your account from the account menu: this permanently deletes your profile, sessions and synced progress from our database. Daily database backups on the same server are kept for up to 14 days and then deleted automatically.

3. Where data is stored

Account data is stored in a database on a server operated by OByeolLab in the Republic of Korea. Traffic passes through Cloudflare (content delivery and protection), which processes connection data as our service provider.

4. Server logs

Like any website, our web server may briefly keep standard access logs (IP address, time, requested page) for security and to keep the service running. They are not used to profile you and are not shared.

5. Advertising (Google AdSense)

To keep the practice free, some pages (the home page, the practice home and result pages – never the question screens) show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, and – if you allow it – to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites (behavioural information such as pages visited and ad interactions, plus your IP address and browser details). We do not give Google your account data or your practice results.

Turn off personalised ads: Google My Ad Center, or for many ad networks at aboutads.info. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; ads will then be less relevant, and the practice app keeps working.
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google's consent message before personalised ads are shown, and can change their choice later from the same message.

6. Payments

If paid plans are introduced, payment will be handled by a third-party payment provider on its own checkout page (we never see your card number), and this policy will be updated before that change.

7. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Apart from the advertising cookies described in section 5 (set by Google directly in your browser) and the service providers named above, we do not share it with third parties unless the law requires us to.
